The mission leaders serve the entire summer of 2023 in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Kentucky, Lake Charles, New Orleans, and south Texas. Ministering to teens, giving formation talks, leading small groups, assisting in construction projects, serving the poor, and creating grace-filled environments of fun, games, prayer, and spiritual enrichment for the youth attending our mission trips!

CMT Missionary or Intern

Job description:

Catholic Mission Trips, Inc. is equipping youth to be missionary disciples. Responsibilities include working on a team of 4-5 to run week-long mission trips, ministering to teens, giving formation talks, leading small groups, assisting in construction projects, ensure safety on the work sites, serving the poor, personal prayer time, and creating grace-filled environments of fun, games, prayer, and spiritual enrichment for the youth. Included but not limited to: liturgy coordinating, meal shopping/prep, coordinating projects with contractors, investing time in relationship building with team & participants. At team training we will discern gifts, talents, and desires to seek where the Holy Spirit may be inviting us to exercise gifts or stretch to learn new skills to best work as a team community. All applicants should possess a deep love for the Catholic faith, a servant’s heart, and a willingness to endure minor sufferings all for the greater honor and glory of God. The ideal candidate will be on fire for Christ, have excellent teamwork skills, have mission trip or youth ministry experience, and be flexible on the job. Applicants must be at least 20 years old to serve as a Junior Mission Leader and at least 23 years old to serve as a Senior Mission Leader. This position covers room and board, travel expenses, and a weekly stipend. Some fundraising is required. All staff are encouraged to do fundraising prior to the mission. Coaching for fundraising support provided upon job acceptance to start raising funds as soon as possible.

Senior and Junior Staff are responsible for transportation at the beginning and end of the summer season. Beginning on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 6pm with the CMT Missionary Spirituality Retreat. Training includes missionary discipleship formation, prayer, daily Mass, Adoration, team building, mission trip prep, and construction basic training with the first mission trip starting June 5. The summer mission season ends with Mission Leader debrief retreat Aug 6-9. Staff are responsible for transportation at the beginning and end of the summer season. Mission Team Leader

The ideal candidate will be on fire for Christ, have excellent communication skills, have mission trip or youth ministry experience, and have supervisory experience. Team Leaders empower the program team members, ensure safety on the work sites, and oversee evening program. This position covers room and board, travel expenses, and a weekly stipend. Some fundraising is required. Team Leaders are responsible for transportation at the beginning and end of the summer season, May 19-August 9, 2023. Must be at least 27 years old with prior mission trip experience and 2-3 years of youth ministry experience. Team Leader is responsible for leading a group of 4 college/young adult mission leaders in executing a professional mission trip for high school or college youth. Catholic Musician/Worship Leaders

Responsibilities include working on a team to run mission trips, and providing a praise and worship experience for teens. Includes coordinating with our priest chaplain for daily Mass & Eucharistic Adoration Holy Hours. The ideal candidate will be on fire for Christ, have experience leading praise and worship, be skilled on the guitar and vocally, and have mission trips or youth ministry experience. Musicians ensure safety on the work sites and lead worship during our evening program. This position covers room/board, travel expenses, and a weekly stipend. Job description:

Responsible for taking daily photos and video on the mission trips, posting on our social media account, creating a video for the end of each mission trip, end of summer video, and creating a CMT Staff promo video. Construction Team:

Catholic Mission Trips, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) that runs week-long mission trips for high school and college youth throughout the U.S. & Central America. Responsibilities include leading teens as a project manager on the work sites. The ideal candidate will be on fire for Christ, have excellent communication, have mission trip or youth ministry experience, and have construction/contractor experience. Carpenters/Contractors teach CMT staff construction basics so they can help lead the teens on the work sites, teach teens the proper and safe use of tools, collecting materials, oversee the quality of work, and ensure safety on the work sites.
