Latin American singer/songwriter Ivhanna Gil combines her church roots with a twist of modern pop/Afro beat. She has an authentic, down to earth, and energetic sound to her music. She has been singing since the age of 4, and songwriting since 11. She has put in as much as 8 hours of singing practice in her daily routine in the past to hone in on her vocal technique. Her voice is gritty, soulful, and has character. She navigates her songs with transparency as a storyteller. Ivhanna has always had the goal to create an intimate space for others to get in touch with their own emotions and detox, whether that be with thought provoking ballads or upbeat songs that get you up and dancing. She has had the privilege to work as a soloist and has also been worshiping alongside E.P.I.C the band since 2019. As a member of the E.P.I.C. ministry she has been able to sing for events such as Chicago On Fire, The Atlanta Eucharistic Conference, and World Youth Day. She hopes to inspire others to let go of baggage and grow closer to God through praise and worship.

I am serving with a team of young adult mission leaders to run week-long international and domestic mission trips. This year, our teams will be serving in Eastern, KY, Fort Myers, FL, New Mexico and the Dominican Republic. We have the honor of working alongside several religious communities, including the Missionaries of Charity, Hijas de la Madre de Dios, the Little Sisters of the Poor, and the children’s home, Nuestros Hermanos Pequenos.
Beyond the great physical work of rebuilding, our mission teams will run retreats for our mission group, opening up the door for the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of those who serve with us. We start each day with Mass, give formational reflections in the evening, facilitate small group discussions, and bring the groups to adore Jesus Blessed Sacrament and to receive His mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Wow! It is such an impactful week for the community we serve, the groups who come to serve with us, for us as mission leaders, and you as mission partners.
Our expected work project expenses for 2023 total approximately $100,000. My personal goal is to raise $3,000 to ensure that we have the funds necessary for successful missions, housing, meals, transportation, mission leaders, and building supplies, given the astronomical rise in building supply costs. I am excited to share with you my journey with God and invite you to support my role as a music missionary, evangelizing teens, and serving the poor with CMT.
