Hello, My name is Benjamin Smaistrla. I have lived in Houston Texas, Paris France, and Stavanger Norway and I am currently in Longview Texas studying Engineering Technology at LeTourneau University. In my time outside of school, I worship the Lord and preform in talent shows on a unicycle. I am also an Eagle scout and a huge fan of the rosary.

I have been Catholic my whole life, but I have grown up mostly in Protestant circles. I am overjoyed with the opportunity to serve on a Catholic Mission Trip so that I can share with my protestant friends the joys that are within the Catholic church. God has been very active in my own life, and I seek to show the love he has for all of us on a summer mission trip.
