Hey everyone, I’m Allie! I’m 22, and I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, gardening, eating ice cream, being creative, and playing violin. Last summer, I was a CMT mission leader, and I’m super excited to continue serving as a missionary with CMT this spring! It has definitely been a journey that led to this season of life. I was raised Catholic and have grown in my faith in little ways all throughout my life, but I really broke through the mediocrity of the spiritual life when I fell deeply in love with prayer during college. After two years as a student at the University of Illinois (UIUC), I responded to God’s invitation for me to leave school. Still through much waiting and unknowing, I kept taking little steps that led me to work with CMT!
As I remember my summer on mission, I am so grateful for the many generous and friendly people I met, for all of the groups that came on mission trips, for the opportunity to help people who need it, for the support and friendship of my teammates, for the gift of music that I experienced through playing violin during praise and worship, and for the mission atmosphere that fosters a daily life imbued with prayer. It is such a blessing to witness the many graces that God pours out on everyone surrounding the mission trips, and I am more than ready to keep experiencing His love throughout the work that I do.
