Peru

Mission

This mission trip is open to individuals 18 or older. We serve in Piura, Peru, working alongside Vera Aqua Vera Vita to provide consistent access to clean water and sanitation. There are currently four communities that are in different stages of planning and execution and many more that we will be able to serve in the future. Those communities are Las Mercedes KM11, La Merced, Totoral Bajo, and Las Mercedes.

Housing

Housing in Piura will be at Santisimo Sacramento Mission Center. Men and women will have separate sleeping areas. Check with your site coordinator on further housing details.

Meals

Meals will be provided starting Sunday evening when you arrive, until you depart the following Saturday. The only meals that are not included are your free day meals. Plenty of breakfast options and we pack a sack lunch. Dinners are always hot. Let us know if there are any dietary restrictions or allergies.

Work Projects

Work projects in Piura, Peru are focused on provide sustainable clean water and infrastructure to Las Merecedes KM11, La Merced, Totoral Bjo, and Las Mercedes. Missionaries will help construct clean water systems, teach Theology of the Body and WASH program, and deliver care packages.

Travel

You can book your own flight or use a travel agent to book your flight with the rest of the group. Ground transportation is included in cost. Travel time is longer, so there is rest built into the schedule.
