Mission
We serve in the Diocese of Charlotte, in Black Mountain, NC. Serving alongside CORE, we are helping families whose homes were damaged in Hurricane Helene. Come help with disaster recovery and rebuilding.
Housing
Housing in Kentucky will be at a local church, volunteer center, or high school. Men, women, boys, and girls will have separate sleeping areas. Check with your site coordinator on further housing details.
Meals
Meals will be provided starting Monday evening when you arrive, until you depart the following Saturday. The only meals that are not included are your free day meals. Plenty of breakfast options and we pack a sack lunch. Dinners are always hot. Let us know if there are any dietary restrictions or allergies.
Work Projects
Work projects in NC are disaster recovery and rebuilding. Projects can include mucking and gutting, framing, roofing, siding, sheetrock, flooring, insulation, painting, and landscape work.
Travel
You can drive in or fly in. Transportation is not included in cost. You will need to by your tickets and rent enough rental cars for your group for the week.

Free Day Option
Friday can be a half work day or recreation day. Groups who travel a long distance sometimes take their free day as they travel home. Let your site coordinator know what you prefer. There are plenty of hiking options or exploring the city of Asheville.
Weather
Pray for good weather. If we get rain, it’s possible that the outdoor projects will be cancelled for the day. Catholic Mission Trips, Inc., will try to arrange both outdoor and indoor projects for each group.
