Belize Mission Trip Individual Sign up

December 26-31, 2022
Don’t have a group? This mission is for you! This mission includes single young adults, adults, and college students 18+.
Housing
Belize is an English speaking country. Housing in Belize is in the volunteer houses in Punta Gorda. We will be serving in the parish community run by the Jesuits. The guest house has bunk beds and air conditioning, a rare treat for mission trips in Belize. Guys and ladies will have separate sleeping areas. There will also be an opportunity to meet the Pallottine sisters.
Meals
Meals will be provided starting Monday evening when you arrive, until you depart the following Saturday. The only meals that are not included are your free day meals. Breakfasts are generally continental, lunches are at the school, and dinners are always hot. If you have allergies, we can accommodate for that. Please indicate on the sign up form. You will also get to experience meals with host families of the parish St. Peter Claver.
Work Projects
In Belize, we will be working in the community of Punta Gorda and the surrounding villages. Our current project is a construction project for the school of St. Peter Claver. Some of the kids from the school will be helping us as they are on summer break. The school’s PTA, principal, and volunteers and children will also be helping us reconstruct the school for their community. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, put your faith into action, build relationships with our brothers and sisters in Belize!
Spiritual Formation
Each day we will have the gift to encounter Jesus in the Sacraments. Each day we will start with Daily Mass. At least one night there will be an Adoration Holy Hour and the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We will have a priest chaplain on our mission trip with us. Expect daily community prayer, praise and worship, and each night the CMT missionaries will share a testimony about building the kingdom of God. Each day after work projects, everyone will have about 2 hours of rest/personal time.
Community Free Day
Free day activities are not included in the mission trip price. Free day activities are encouraged, including but not limited to: visiting the keys, snorkeling, cave tubing, and visiting the Mayan ruins.
Weather
Pray for good weather. If we get rain, it’s possible that the outdoor projects will be cancelled for the day. Catholic Mission Trips, Inc., will arrange an activity to engage in the corporal works of mercy with the poor.
Cost
$1,000 per person (Airfare not included.)
