This spring, March 19-25, 2023 I will be serving on the Dominican Republic CMT Mission Leader team, directing a mission trip from the high school senior students of St. Joseph Academy in Kenosha, WI. We are serving at
Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos the children’s home and school, serving alongside the local high school students, and continuing work on a multi-year project to construct a teaching workshop in the nearby bateys. This mission trip is an incredible opportunity for the teens, both the Dominican and American teens. They experience the power of Christ come from out of them and they leave something tangible behind for the those in need. On the mission trip, they receive friendship, joy and hard work as we bring hope to the hopeless for Christ to restore the lives of each and every person. At the children’s orphanage, we have the honor of working alongside the
Hijas de la Madre de Dios.
April 10-15, 2023, I will be serving with a team of young adult mission leaders to direct week-long domestic mission trip for high school students at the Zuni Native American Indian Reservation! This is an amazing opportunity for them to experience the missions and put their faith in action while serving Christ in the poor. We have the honor of working alongside several religious communities, including the
Missionaries of Charity!
Beyond the great physical work of rebuilding, our
mission teams will run retreats for our mission group, opening up the door for the
Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of those who serve with us. We start each day with Mass, give formational reflections in the evening, facilitate small group discussions, and bring the groups to adore Jesus Blessed Sacrament and to receive His mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Wow! It is such an impactful week for the community we serve, the groups who come to serve with us, for us as mission leaders, and you as mission partners.
Our expected work project expenses for 2023 total approximately $100,000. My personal goal is to raise between $2,500-$3,000 to ensure that we have the funds necessary for building supplies, given the astronomical rise in building supply costs. I am excited to share with you my journey with God as a missionary and invite you to become one of my mission partners.
“Some go to the missions, others give to the missions. Without both there are no missions.” Everything that we have is from God and everything that we give is from God. Could you contribute to covering the cost of our mission and evangelization? Please consider joining me on mission by making a one-time or recurring donation to support the work of
Catholic Mission Trips, Inc. Your prayers and financial support will bring hope and restore dignity to the families we serve. We would be honored to have you partner with us at $50-$200 a month. I look forward to connecting with you and experiencing mission together! Thank you for joining my support team!
