Hello, I am Peter Vandal from North Dakota. I grew up in a large family that always put God first in every activity we did. Some activities that I enjoy is anything with the outdoors and people. God created nature for us to enjoy and people to enjoy it within every instance. I watch and see the countless blessings that God has put in my life. I want to leave a Christ like impression with everyone that I encounter.  I graduated from college with a degree in Automotive Technology and afterwards served as a missionary with Hard As Nails Ministry for a year. Being a Hard as Nails missionary, I realized what great opportunity I got in my life to minister to those in great need. I want to bring the best out of every person I meet.  In being a part of HANM, I was able to evangelize and share Christ with countless souls, and help those suffering by bringing the amazing graces that God has given to all I encountered.

Favorite Saint: Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati is a great example of enjoying God’s creation and living an adventuress life all for the Lord.

Favorite Quotes: Bl. Pier said “If you have God at the Center of your action, then you will reach the Goal.”

Favorite Scripture: “ Be strong, Be Courageous, Stand firm in your Faith, Let all that you do be done in Love.” – 1 Cor 16:13-14

This spring, March 25-29 I will be serving on the New Mexico CMT Mission Leader team, directing a mission trip from the high school students. We will be serving in the Gallup Diocese in the Zuni Reservation. This is an amazing opportunity for them to experience the missions and put their faith into action while serving Christ in the poor. We have the honor of working alongside several religious communities, including the Missionaries of Charity!
Beyond the great physical work of rebuilding, our mission teams will run retreats for our mission group, opening up the door for the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of those who serve with us. We start each day with Mass, give formational reflections in the evening, facilitate small group discussions, and bring the groups to adore Jesus’ Blessed Sacrament and to receive His mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Wow! It is such an impactful week for the community we serve, the groups who come to serve with us, for us as mission leaders, and you as mission partners.
Our expected work project expenses for 2024 total approximately $100,000. My personal goal is to raise $500 to ensure that we have the funds necessary for building supplies, given the astronomical rise in building supply costs. I am excited to share with you my journey with God as a missionary and invite you to become one of my mission partners.  Please consider joining me on the mission by making a one-time or recurring donation to support the work of Catholic Mission Trips, Inc.  I would be honored to have you partner with me at $50-$200. I look forward to connecting with you and experiencing the mission together! Thank you for joining my support team!
