I’m Mariem, and I live in Kennewick, WA with my husband. I just graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance, and in my free time, I like hiking, cooking healthy meals, and serving the community through my local Saint Vincent de Paul chapter. I’m originally from Venezuela and I know first-hand the challenges and tribulations that people can face in Latin America. My journey to serve those in need has been inspired by my mother, who helped, listened, and treated with dignity and respect all the people who knocked on our door for food when I was growing up. This summer, I decided to serve with Catholic Mission Trips to give back a little of what has been given to me in these past 4 years in college. I’m grateful for all the blessings God has sent my way and I truly desire to be part of the blessings that God has prepared for others!

Favorite Saints: St. Jude Thaddeus and St. John Paul II

Favorite Scripture: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened” Luke 11:9-10

“Some people give to the missions by going, others go to the missions by giving. Without both, there are no missions.”
