Panama City, FL Individual Sign up
July 25-July 31, 2021
Don’t have a group? This mission is for you! This mission includes single young adults, adults, and college students 18+.
Housing in Panama City will be in a missionary home with a missionary family. Participants should plan on bringing sleeping bags or sheets for provided mattresses. Men, women, and families with children, will have separate sleeping areas. The Catholic Mission Trips, Inc., staff will sleep separately from the group at all times.
Pick up from the airport will be included and travel to work sites. If you are driving in we ask that you drive to work sites so we can have room in the CMT vehicle for those flying.
Meals will be provided starting Sunday evening when you arrive, until you depart the following Saturday morning. The only meals that are not included are your free day meals. Breakfasts are generally continental, with protein of course, and we pack a sack lunch. Dinners are always hot.
In Panama City, FL we are responding to the needs of low income families and the elderly following the Hurricane Michael in October 2018. This Category 5 Hurricane brought devastating winds up to 160 mph and storm surge causing 16 deaths and about $25 billion in damage. Recovery efforts on our mission trip include rebuilding homes and community outreach projects.
Friday is a free day for individuals to explore the local beautiful Panama City Beach.
Pray for good weather. If we get rain, it’s possible that the outdoor projects will be cancelled for the day. Catholic Mission Trips, Inc., will try to arrange both outdoor and indoor projects for each group.
