Welcome to Catholic Mission Trips, Inc., where we help faithful Catholics fulfill their call to serve the poor. Catholic Mission Trips, Inc. had its beginnings in 1997. Inspired by St. Mother Teresa and Pope St. John Paul II, Steve Nasche, a Youth Director for a Catholic Parish, wanted to do a mission trip to let American youth experience the culture and spirituality of Mexico, as well as assist the people by building homes, chapels, and schools. He contacted person after person and made call after call looking for a place. Finally, he got in touch with Sr. Norma and the relationship with the Missionaries of Jesus was born! Steve began planning mission trips every summer for the Catholic parish he was working for and continued the annual Mexico Mission Trip for his 8 years as a parish youth director.
Eventually word got out and soon Steve had other catholic parishes joining him. Thus the concept of Catholic Mission Trips began. We have since grown into a full-service ministry and lead mission trips for young people all over the world! We understand that there are lots of people out there who would love to go on a mission trip, but just don’t have any connections or think it’s too difficult to plan. That is where Catholic Mission Trips, Inc., comes in. We do the planning and handle all the logistics for you. All the parish group needs to do is sign up and come. We handle everything else. We make it as easy as possible for groups to have a mission trip experience.
We have experienced an overwhelming response since our humble beginnings. We have been apart of mission trips to Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Haiti, Belize, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, South Texas, New Mexico, Kentucky, Joplin, and New Orleans.
Highlights:In 2010 we hired our first 5 full time summer staff members and in the summer of 2012 we had 13 full time staff members. In 2011 we received our official non profit status from the IRS. Catholic Mission Trips Inc. is a 501c3 non profit based in Texas. Now all donations to Catholic Mission Trips, Inc., are tax deductible. In 2014 we hired our first full time staff member.
Give Drink to the Thirsty
As mission work began expanding so did ideas. Not only are we helping through building projects, but now we have also completed our fist clean water project. Catholic Mission Trips, Inc., worked to raise funds to purchase a drilling rig to send to Bolivia. It is our dream to have mission trips planned to all corners of the globe and to send drilling rigs to many different countries to help provide clean water to those most in need. We hope you will join us on one of our mission trips or help support us in our drilling rig program. (see donations page for more info)
Help us grow.
Does your parish already do work in a foreign country? If so send us the contact name for the person in charge and Catholic Mission Trips, Inc., will try to organize trips to further the work that your parish or community has begun.
