CMT will be returning to the village of Nkar in Cameroon, Africa this year! Our trip last summer was such a success that we are expanding this year and offering 3 different trips!
We’ll also be staying in the brand new Mission House and we’re very excited to Christian this!
Leadership Trip | June 5-17
This is a special Mission trip designed for people across the country who would like to form a relationship with the Diocese of Kumbo and the people of Nkar and then run their own trip. This is perfect for parish staff, youth ministers or different church groups.
The trip will focus on building relationships, developing projects and will be run in conjunction with Fr. Eugen Nkardzedze of the Diocese of Kumbo.
Participants will have all of the tools, contacts and resources needed to schedule and run their own trips in the future.
Medical Trip | June 16-28
Our Medical Mission trip is run in collaboration with Christian Research Hospital. CRH will assist medical doctors and infectologists who practice in Kumbo and surrounding villages. During our first CRH mission trip, we learned that, out of approximately 5,000 people living with HIV in the Bui division, only 10-20% refill their free antiretroviral prescriptions. The remaining 4,000 people are unable to refill their prescriptions because they do not have free access to laboratory testing such as CD4 count, HIV viral load, liver, and kidney function tests.
Nurse, doctors, pharmacists and dentists are all needed! Support staff or those interested in the medical profession are encouraged to attend this trip as well! All specialties welcome. Travel insurance and medical professional liability insurance are available.
Humanitarian Trip | June 27-July 9
This trip is designed for missionaries to interact with the people as well as view, work and supervise projects and initiatives. We work on projects that benefit the village and the Diocese of Kumbo such as building schools and water wells and medical clinics. Medical personnel are welcome on these trips as well.
